The Training School (TS) will take place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of October in Barcelona (Spain) at:

Auditori Barradas

Rambla Just Oliveras 56 / 08901 L’Hospitalet de Llobregat

The Auditori is easy to be reached by metro Lane 1

Lectures will be recorded and made available through the ML4Microbiome YouTube channel to allow people to watch them also at a later point. Practicals will only be available in person.

The training material for the hands-on part will be made available to registered people before the school starts.

Access to the material and practicals will only require a web browser. The interface is based on Jupyterhub/Jupyterlab and is tested with Chrome and Firefox. Edge and Safari may work but are untested. All analysis is done remotely in the cloud so no need to install the software.

Registration

Signing up for the Training School can be done here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/13FrZs84zxMNlD1D0zng5Ysopb_Kicc_oEV2L12fPS3E . Registration is free and open to ML4Microbiome members and non-ML4Microbiome members, however, we do have a tier system in place. MC member-related candidates and PhD-stage researchers that have not participated before have a preference, and a first-come, first-serve system is in place. WG4 management will decide on individual cases.
